Good Payer Discount

Pay your bills on time for twelve months, and you could earn a discount. No device to install, no form to file — just a billing account with nothing embarrassing on it.

How it works

You earn this discount when your billing account has no late fees, no late payments, and no returned check charges in the previous twelve months. That's the whole test.

It's the quiet companion to the auto pay discount: auto pay rewards the setup that prevents missed payments, good payer rewards the track record of not missing them. Run auto pay from a stable account and this discount tends to follow automatically.

Example:

You've paid every bill on time for years without ever thinking about it — no late fees, no returned payments, nothing. This discount is likely already working for you, quietly. The reason to call anyway: confirming it takes one question, and while we're looking we sometimes find a payment discount that isn't applied — auto pay or preferred payment sitting unclaimed — which turns a checkup call into a measurable saving.

Got Questions?
We’ve Got Answers.

Do late payments affect home insurance?
They can, in two ways: a late payment can interrupt this discount for twelve months, and repeated missed payments risk cancellation for non-payment — which then follows you as a lapse when you shop.
Do I need to apply for this discount?
No — it's applied from your billing history. But it's worth asking us to confirm it's on the policy.
What knocks it off?
A late payment, a late fee, or a returned check in the previous twelve months.
Does my credit score affect this discount?
No — this one looks only at your billing account with the carrier: late fees, late payments, and returned checks in the past twelve months. Your credit history is a separate topic entirely.
Does a returned check affect my insurance?
A returned payment charge on the billing account is one of the three things that interrupts this discount — and a returned initial payment can cause bigger problems than a discount. Autopay from a stable bank account helps prevent both.
Can I change or cancel my policy anytime?
Most policies can be adjusted or canceled without penalty, though terms vary. If your situation changes, our team can help you update your plan.
